BUCKET LIST ITEM CHECKED OFF!

Hey there peeps! What’s going on?? I am currently watching THE PROPOSAL and eating Macaroni Salad. HEHE!

Don’t you hate Sunday nights??! KNOWING you have to wake up the next morning and start the week all over again?  I have a GREAT job, but I would still rather stay home. LOL! 😀 And I get a Three day weekend EVERY WEEK! I guess we’re never REALLY happy with what we have, are we? LOL!!!

Well this weekend was one for the books! Man Oh Man!!!!!!! Okay, let me start by saying… We got word Garth Brooks was coming to Lubbock. He hasn’t been here in like 25 years. I have loved Garth since I was a kid…. LOVED HIM! I remember in 6th grade, calling Rick Gilbert at KLLL 96.3 and requesting “Friends in Low Places” EVERY SINGLE WEEK DAY at Noon STRAIGHT UP for their request lunch hour. LOL!!! EVERY DAY. No lie! I recently got the chance to tell Rick that story. HEHE! 😀 Man I was a dork. But I freaking LOVED that song!!!!! I never in a million years would have dreamed I’d see Garth Live! So they announce he’s coming… Tickets are like $75 or so. I JOKINGLY posted on Facebook that I needed someone to take me to the concert! 😛 Well, one of my friends commented that they were getting tickets, and that I could go with them. I knew I HAD to get a ticket….. Well, tickets go on sale.. I text my friend and I asked ifthey got tickets, because I was going to try to get some money together to go…… She never replied! (JERK!) HAHA! THEN that night, a Scentsy Star Director I’ve met at Scentsy Family Reunion, texted me. It was a video… She told me in the video she’d messaged my friend and bought me a ticket! OMG!!!! I WAS GOING TO GARTH!!!  SAY WHAAA?!??!?!??!?! AAAUUUGGHHHHHH!!!!!!! I cried like a baby! Then Jude cried too, because he was happy for me, but sad he couldn’t go! HAHAHAHAHAH! 😀 I also received a message from my Super STar Director, who was also in on this! AND another director I don’t even know and I’ve never met! WHAT IN THE WORLD!??!? These ladies went in and helped me mark off an item on my bucket list! ALL beause they thought I deserved it! Y’all! These are not people I hang out with on a daily basis.. These are fellow #bossbabes Leaders in this awesome Wickless Candle Biz… Had I not ever joined this company, I’d never have met them! I am thankful EVERY SINGLE DAY for this company and my business!!!!!!!!!

This is a shirt my friend made for me JUST in time for the concert!!! Is that cute or what?! And, I do have to say, my highlight was ON POINT! HAHA!

My pictures aren’t that great, but it was seriously THE most amazing concert EVER!!! He was so fun, and funny, and looks like he absolutely LOVES what he does!!!!!! If you ever get a chance, GO!!!! It was so much fun!!!! 😀 My friends I went with are so fun too!! Carrie and I laughed and yelled and sang! It was a freaking BLAST!!!!!

I’ve always LOVED music. I remember growing up loving music, always listening to music, ALWAYS. When I did homework, while I slept, while I skated down the street. Music has a way of bringing back memories, a lot like scent does! SO MANY SONGS bring back memories… Some good. Some bad. But music makes me cry more than anything else. First, I cried when he came out, just because… DUH! It’s Garth! AUGH! He’s a LEGEND! Then just some songs hit me and make me cry. I can’t help it. LOL! I get made fun of all the time for crying over ridiculous things. But, I don’t care. LOL! I’ll cry all day everyday, if I want to! 😛

Anyways! Can you believe it’s APRIL!???!! I mean, REALLY! Where does the time go!? April 2nd! CRAZY! My sister posted a meme today that said “It’s April.. Can I put my tree up yet?” HAHAHAHA! OF course I said YES! It’s ALWAYS a good time to put up the Christmas tree! HA! But also makes me realize, it will be Christmas before we know it! It’s gonna keep flying by! I am ready for SUMMER though! I LOVE Summer! I am ready for WARM WEATHER! We were having GREAT weather.. 70’s and 80’s.. Then the past few days, it’s been COLD and WET! Like 40’s and 50’s! What the heck!? LOL!!!!!

So Beauty and The Beast came out a few weeks ago…. I took my niece opening weekend. OH.EM.GEE!!!! BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!! Have you seen it!? If not, you are missing out! GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!! IT IS SO GOOD!!!!!!! My niece and I had so much fun!!! The movie is amazing… My niece put it best.. It was MESMERIZING! The colors and graphics and songs.. ALL SO MUCH FUN! I bought the soundtrack.. I love the new added songs.. It’s just THE BEST! I took my son the next week… I loved it, he did not.. And I may go see it a 3rd time. HAHA! It’s THAT Good to me!!!!! Beauty and the Beast was always my FAVORITE Disney movie and this did not disappoint at all!!!!!! GO SEE IT!

Scentsy, St. Louis, Train, and MORE!

Hey Everyone!!!   Well, this post is long over due! But I’m freaking busy! LOL!!  Going out of town is GREAT, but coming back to work is HARD and ALMOST not worth it!  I’m still not 100% caught up! It’s CRAZY!

So I earned an incentive trip for one.. I was given the choice between the Bahamas and Scentsy Family Reunion… Well, I KNEW I didn’t want to miss out on SFR this year because it was the 10 year reunion, and I’d heard it was going to be H U G E!  Last year I spent over $1,000 on SFR with flight, hotel, food, etc.. SO, this year I got it all for F R E E!!!!!!!!!  You honestly can’t beat that!  Scentsy booked my travel and hotel room and everything PLUS put money on my Scentsy card to cover baggage fees and all food! HELLO!!!!!!!!  You just can’t beat that, can ya!?

So July 8th I flew out of Lubbock and headed to St. Louis Missouri! When we got there, there was a table set up for all incentive earners to schedule a shuttle… So I added my name to the list… Waited maybe 10 minutes and a huge bus showed up and took us to our hotels… Some of us were at Lumiere Hotel & Casino, and a few others were at the Four Seasons, but they were connected so that’s good..

 

We got to the hotel, checked in, and got ready, then headed over to the convention center to check in and get our lanyards and FREEBIES! 🙂  Incentive earners got a bag, a shirt, a pen and book, and Scentsy Clean LAundry stuff! WE ARE SO SPOILED! 🙂 🙂 Then we went in and talked to everyone, hung out, then it was time to have our opening ceremonies with Heidi & Orville, and SARA BARELLIS!!!!!  AAAAUUUUUGGGGGHHHHH!! It was SO awesome!  She is GREAT in concert! We were on the fourth row!!!  It was so great! 🙂 🙂  My director and some friends actually got to meet her later that night!!! HOW FUN IS THAT?!

So the next day was the 5K which I DID NOT Participate in! HAHA! I slept in, which was WONDERFUL! My bed was SUPER comfy!  All the Incentive Earners had lunch at the FOUR SEASONS with Heidi & Orville and all of the AUSTRALIAN earners!  It was a WONDERFUL lunch!  Salad, several kinds of bread, veggies, potatoes, parmesean crusted chicken, steak… It was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lunch was wonderful, the company was wonderful.. It was awesome! 🙂 🙂  After that I believe I went to the Scentsy store to shop.. I can’t remember. LOL! 🙂  But then we went back to our hotel rooms to get ready for the TRUE opening ceremonies!!!!! IT.WAS.AWESOME! 🙂 But to get in… the line was RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you do when you wait in line?!  TAKE SELFIES OF COURSE! DUH! 🙂

We finally made it in! WHEW!!!!!!!  We’d texted our director while in line & said to be sure to save seats for us, because they always get the best seats, and I wanted to be UP CLOSE & PERSONAL for what was to come… Not only was it opening ceremonies for EVERYONE….. BUT, it was also a concert.. With one of my FAVORITE bands…. T R A I N! AAAAUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHH!!! I ABSOLUTELY Love them and I was dying to get up close!  So.. Sure enough, we were on the SECOND ROW! EEEEEK! Man, I was STOKED!

Heidi and Orville talked about all the GREAT new products coming out in September.. That was a BLAST, of course, PLUS they passed out mini testers of the new scents! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!  We FREAKED OUT about that! LOL! 🙂  I would have taken pics of it, but I was saving my battery for the concert! HAHA!   THEN… The lights went out…. And we saw just a light, and a train whistle… I thought I was gonna die. HAHA!!

THEN…..  Pat came out into the crowd……  Said get your cell phones ready and we’d take some selfies.. UMMMMM WHAT?!??!?  Well there was a crowd right at the stage.. I told my sponsor there was NO way I’d be able to get up there… She said to try and go for it.. SO I DID!!!!!!!!  EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! Check this out….

It’s CRAZY blurry because he actually TOOK the phone from me and took it kind of as he was walking! BUT THERE IT IS! And you can tell it’s him! 🙂 I was in LA LA Land after that! HAHA! I told Traci no way would she be able to pull me down to Earth! LOL!  Seriously! 🙂 It was amazing! I am sure all of y’all are freaking out. HAHA! 🙂  I was! He’s so cute!!!! Too bad he’s married! HA! 🙂  I say that like I had a chance with him or something! HAHA!

So Thursday morning started with Heidi’s keynote speech… And if you’ve ever heard her talk, you’ve been inspired.. I can guarantee that! SHE IS SO AWESOME!!! THEN… They bring out a guest speaker.  Someone I’ve never heard of.. John O’Leary.. OMG! This man is an AMAZING MAN!  If you haven’t heard his story, PLEASE watch a video! Go to Youtube! HE IS AWESOME!  He’s been through more than most people will EVER go through, and his story is SO Awesome, and he’s SO incredibly motivating!   I was VERY blessed by his story!!!

The rest of the day, we had BREAK OUT SESSIONS…..  They got consultants to lead sessions learning about certain topics! I think I did four that day…..  Some of them were REALLY good, and I learned a lot!!!!!!  That night…….. AMAZING!!  We got “room drops” which is where the Incentive earners get a gift in their room every day… Wednesday it was St Louis Baseball hats, peanuts, and crackerjacks for the game they were taking us to on Thursday night! EEEEEEEEEEEEEK

Now, I normally don’t wear hats….  I look like a dude in a hat. LOL! BUT.. This was a trip! Going to a GAME! I HAD TO!  I also bought a shirt earlier that day! 🙂

SO AWESOME to actually go to a MLB game!  It was awesome, and the park was GINORMOUS! We stayed until about the 5th inning, then Traci and I left and went to get some dinner.  We ate dinner and played at the Casino. HAHA! 🙂  We had a BLAST!!!!  We didn’t end up winning.. We just played slots, and every time we won, we just kept playing, but boy was it FUN!!!! 🙂 🙂

Friday was the last day…  We had consultants speak, and of course, Orville’s Keynote speech… If you think Heidi is inspiring, man you should hear Orville!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  HE.WAS.AWESOME!!! It was a wonderful day!!!  Then… That night…. It was the closing sessions and award ceremonies.. It was a lot of fun!

After the awards was our guest for the evening……..  COMEDIAN JIM GAFFIGAN! AUGH!  That man is HYSTERICAL!  🙂  And he’s CLEAN! AHHH!! I laughed so hard!!!

After his deal, Heidi And Orville came back out and announced our 2015 Incentive trips!!!!!!!!!!  WOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Okay, so……. One trip is a CARIBBEAN CRUISE!! AUGH! We will be leaving from & arriving to Puerto Rico!!! AUGH!!!!  Does that sound AMAZING OR WHAT!???!

The other one is to Scentsy Family Reunion again….. THIS YEAR IT IS TO………………… LAS VEGAS!!!!!!!!!!  Is that FUN or what!??!?!

I am RIDICULOUSLY excited about this incentive period! I WILL EARN THIS YEAR!  Who knows?!  Maybe I’ll earn for TWO! 🙂 🙂 COME WITH ME!!!  LET’S EARN IT TOGETHER! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!

So after all the closing stuff, we had a DANCE PARTY!!!!!!  We had DJ Ravi Drums and he was a BLAST!!!!!!

We also just walked around, talked to people, all that jazz!

Afterward, we went to eat… Traci and I ate at the Hotel Casino Bar, Stadium and our new Aussie friends showed up, so we had a GREAT time! 🙂

Saturday was leaving day… UNFORTUNATELY, the didn’t have me leaving until 635pm! AUGH!  There was nothing to do! So… Traci left at 12:30 so I hung out at the hotel, played slots in the casino, and read until I could take a shuttle to the airport! 🙂

This trip was AMAZING and life changing! EVERYONE in the world needs to join Scentsy and go to SFR! LOL! 🙂 It was just so awesome! I had a WONDERFUL time and learned so much!  Came home ready to ROCK it, and guess what???  I HAVE!  It’s been so great!!!!  Come join my team! Click here to JOIN

Road Trip, Dreams Coming True, and Good food! :)

HEY EVERYONE!!

It’s been awhile! SORRY!!! I’ve been BUSY!!!!!  Working Full Time, plus a home business, plus a 3.5 year old… It gets BUSY!! LOL!  This weekend I went to Fort Worth with one of my dear friends, and also one of my downline in the Scentsy Family!  We went for SCENTSY SPRING SPRINT!!!  We left Friday late morning, and got there at 4.  We stayed with some friends of hers. When we got there, we went got ready and went out to Yucatan Taco Stand! It was delicious!  We got a RIDICULOUS amount of food… We got Fried Plantains for our appetizer, we each got one taco, and then we split their nachos…. IT WAS A GINORMOUS PLATE OF NACHOS! LOL!!!!  It was CRAZY Delicious!!!  Saturday we got up early and went to SPRING SPRINT at the Fort Worth Convention center!  WOOOOO HOOOOO! 🙂 Okay, so the owners of Scentsy have been going to random Sprints the past two weeks… No one knows which one they’ll be at, they just show up.  I was SO hoping they’d be at ours, but kinda doubted they would be.  I’ve been DYING to meet them since last convention….  I was guaranteed I’d meet them this year at convention.. But I didn’t have to wait until then…. We walked upstairs to where Sprint was and I saw them AS SOON as we got up there!! EEEEEEEEK! I nearly died.. and cried! LOL!  My poor dear friend. LOL! She was just like “seriously?” So we checked in and got in line to meet them.  The line was long, and I was worried we wouldn’t get to meet them before it started! BUT WE DID!! Hugged them, introduced ourselves, and got a picture…

Is that a GREAT pic or what!?  EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! SUCH A dream come true! AUGH!

Anyways.. M and I had a good day.  Went to a Velata break out session and learned A LOT about that branch of Scentsy Family… I of course came home & joined! WOOT! I now sell ALL THREE BRANDS! BOOM! I’ll talk about that later! Anyways….

After Spring Sprint, we went and ate at Spring Creek.. BBQ in Burleson! It was REALLY, REALLY good!   We came home Sunday, and I was glad to be home to see my Boy!!!  But it honestly was good to get out of town and have some girl time! 🙂

FALL IS HERE!!!

Hey guys! What’s going on?? I am watching tv and being a bum. 🙂 That’s always fun, right?

Can you believe it’s FINALLY FALL!?!?!?!?!  I can’t! 🙂  It seems like EVERY year, I get more and more excited about Fall!  You can tell it’s Fall because the mornings are cooler! It’s AWESOME! It’s been in the 70’s and 80’s lately.. except today, it’s 90! LOL! You can also tell it’s Fall because Scentsy is coming out with AMAZING Fall scents, and warmers!  The October Scent of the month is CIDER MILL… I.LOVE.IT. Seriously goodness!!!!! Our entire family goes together EVERY year!  We pick one day, all take off work, and go spend the day! 🙂  It’s SO much fun, and I can’t wait to go!  Fair Food is the Best!!!!! 🙂  We all love the Strawberry Lemonade! It’s got WAY too much sugar in it, but it’s delicious! I also love fried pickles, funnel Cake, corn dogs, cotton candy… WHEW! It’s going to ROCK!

I’ve been watching A LOT of “Finding Nemo” lately! LOL!  I always said this is one movie I’d never let Jude watch.. Because it annoyed the crap outta me.. It could POSSIBLY be because I’ve had people say Dory reminds them of me. LOL!  HMPH! But.. IT’s really not a bad movie.. Actually pretty funny and cute.  Jude LOVES it now! We watch it ALL the time.. HE loves “Emo”. HAHAHA!

We’ve been having REVIVAL at our church the past few days, and it’s REALLY good!!!!! Tonight is the last night, and I am actually pretty sad about it!  It’s great to get the Word DURING the week too, instead of just Sundays!

Today at work I was making packets in the supply closet because I was slow with my other work.  I took my phone in there and played the Rend Collective Experiment CD, Campfire.  MAN!  I know I talked about them in the last post, but SERIOUSLY… THAT WHOLE CD IS AMAZING!  I am telling you what! I was having my own worship time in there!! Everyone else was at lunch and I was dancing and singing and praising Jesus! 🙂  I absolutely LOVE every single song on that album!  I need to hear more! Y’all need to go RIGHT now to iTunes and buy that Album…. N O W! You’ll thank me for it, I promise! Usually with most CD’s, there are a few songs I don’t like as much, but I can honestly say I LOVE every single song! Buy it, and then let me know what you think! 🙂

We got Jude’s costume in today! 🙂  HE LOVES IT!  He’s BUZZ LIGHT YEAR! HAHA! He looks adorable.  He’s laying beside me right now watching tv before bed, and he’s wearing his costume.  He said he’s sleeping in it. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  Little booger.  I remember when my nephew was his age he wore ALL kinds of costumes, and he wore them day and night! 🙂  It was so cute! I am so glad Jude seems to be following in his footsteps. LOL! TOO CUTE!!!!

ANYWAYS.. All this to say, it’s been a really wonderful past few weeks! 🙂  I am looking forward to Fall, and all the stuff that’s coming my way! I’m busy with work, I have Scentsy events in December, some home parties, and more people to sign up to sell it! WOOT WOOT! I’ve made a new old friend, and we talk A LOT about Jesus.. It’s been great to have someone else to just talk about His goodness and mercy with… Learn about new music with, etc. We went and took pictures at the Mall and then got ice cream the other night.  It was nice to get out and have A LOT of fun.  We laughed and reminisced.  We used to know each other a long time ago and have since reconnected! It’s been fun!

Anyways!  I haven’t left y’all with Music in awhile… I’ve recently discovered a band that is JUST amazing! I am SERIOUS!  They’re called Rend Collective Experiment.. A-MAY-ZING! WOWZERS!  Check them out…  I bought their CD, CAMPFIRE this week and I listen to it ALL the time!!!!! SO GOOD!

SFR2013 DRIVE!

HEY HEY guys!! What’s going on???  I’ve been away lately and I’m here to tell ya why and what’s been going on!!

I HAVE BEEN BUSY!!!!! I had to get stuff together, sell some Scentsy, work, take care of my son.. and then.. FINALLY… I WENT TO THE SCENTSY FAMILY REUNION!!! 🙂  WOW!!!!!!!  Since I joined last year, all I have heard is how amazing it is and that I MUST go. I went to Spring Sprint in February of this year and got the “bug” to go! I registered THAT afternoon! LOL! As soon as I got home, I got on my computer and signed up! I already had a roommate! 🙂  I had to sign up then because if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be able to go to Heidi’s Big Birthday Bash! I didn’t know any details, I only knew I couldn’t miss it! SFR was set to be in INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA at Lucas Oil Stadium and the Convention Center!  It was pretty Amazing being in LUCAS OIL STADIUM! When I was married, I watched A LOT of Football with my then husband. I HATE IT NOW. LOL! But when I watched it, I rooted for the COLTS!! ALWAYS!!!

 

See all those people out there?? They’re all waiting for the doors to open for Heidi’s Birthday Bash!!!  If you signed up for convention by ON February 15th, you were invited! Luckily, I signed up then! WHEW!

 

The Bash was GREAT! We got a bag with a noise maker, sunglasses, a light up bracelet and a light up necklace, and a checkered flag! 🙂 SO AWESOME!

The family talked and did some fun and games.. THEN…….. We had a BIG concert… KELLY CLARKSON!!!!!!!!!

 

 

 

She was AMAZING in concert!!!! I LOVED it!!!!! She was seriously SO awesome!!!!  I had the best time!

I had an amazing time this week!! Three whole days of JUST Scentsy!! 😀  I missed Jude like CRAZY… It was my very first time leaving him and it was CRAZY HARD! But I knew I NEEDED This for my business!! They’ve run the stats.. It shows that people who attend reunion have better sales.. It’s because you get SO ridiculously motivated!!! WOW! We had AMAZING speakers! And guess what? My very own Director spoke at one of our sessions! EEEEEEEK! 🙂 She did a wonderful job! We also had Brene’ Brown, Daniel Pink, and Mary Christianson! Look them ALL up! They’re authors! The’re Motivational Speakers.. They are GREAT! 🙂

I was so excited to meet my Director! We’ve talked online for over a year now. She is SO inspirational and so supportive & encouraging!

It exceeded ALL my expectations!! WOWZERS!!!!!!! They had a BIG store.. You could buy just about anything….  It was CRAZY In there! There were probably 8,500-9,000 people that attended SFR this year…. Well, I am pretty sure they were ALL in line ahead of us… We stood in line for over 2.5 hours! LOL!! WOW!!! We were EXHAUSTED by the time we got back to our room!!!!

We had a beautiful hotel! And SUPER comfy beds! Each night, we passed out cold! LOL! I was afraid I wouldn’t sleep good because I am so used to Jude, but I didn’t have a problem sleeping! LOL!! I had a queen sized bed all to myself with 5 pillows! LOL! Amazing!

We ate some good food while we were there too!! We ate at The Slippery Noodle, White Castle, Hard Rock Cafe, Noodle & Company… It was GREAT!

 

Ignore how awkward I look. LOL! I was supposed to be the A in their YAY! LOL!! 🙂

 

Here we are getting ready for the Closing night.. awards ceremony!!

Not only did Scentsy bring us KELLY CLARKSON.. They also brought us an AWESOME group called Mo5aic.. It’s pronounced Mosaic! They were AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! They are an acapella group.  They don’t use instruments.. They make ALL The noises of instruments with just their mouths!! AMAZING!!!!

A Haul, Single Living, and the Lord

Hey everyone! What’s going on?  Not a whole lot here!! I just got home! After work, our family went to eat at Longhorn Steakhouse for my Dad’s birthday.. I DID NOT care for their steak at all.. Their side salad was delicious though. After dinner, Jude and I went to Ulta! 🙂 I ABSOLUTELY love that store! It’s AMAZING!!! Jude loves it too! 🙂  I think he loves all the bright colors.. and he loves to smell the perfume and cologne! 🙂  HAHAHA! Other than Target, it’s my favorite store EVER!  I have a HUGE event coming up soon, so I had to pick up a few necessities! I watched a tutorial for a smoldering (smokey) look the other night and she used a Loreal Extra Intense Liquid Eye Penci! Supposed to be amazing, so we’ll see! LOL! Also got a lipstain that was clearanced out, and a NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil.. But I can’t remember which one I got.. Bronze maybe… 🙂  WOOT!!!

The stain… I am not sure about. The applicator is REALLY, REALLY weird… The good thing is, it doesn’t feel like a stain.. It actually really does feel more like a gloss! I just applied it a bit ago, so we’ll see if it’s still there when I wake up! LOL!

 

Lately, I’ve been having some thoughts… As a single woman, sometimes it gets lonely being single… But as a single Mom, I think it’s worse sometimes. I have friends, and I have a ton of WONDERFUL family around me ALL the time. But, there are times when I get lonely for companionship… Someone to share my life with, my hopes and dreams, etc.  You all know what I am talking about.  Well, the other day I was having a hard day.. I was feeling sorry for myself and I was driving to a job. All of the sudden, the Lord placed a song on my heart…  It’s a song I’ve ALWAYS Loved, but haven’t heard or thought about in ages… The first verse says this…

“Who can satisfy my soul like you
Who on earth could comfort  me
And love me like You do
Who could  ever be more faithful, true
I will trust in You
I  will trust in You, my God”

Such an amazing thing to hear at that moment..  No MAN can satisfy my soul… If I am not being satisfied and fulfilled by my relationship with Jesus Christ, then a man is not going to be able to fill that gap.  God put a hole in EVERYONE that ONLY He can fill. That’s what I was doing before…. Feeling lonely and dating whoever… I haven’t dated in over 3 years.  And I won’t.  Not unless I feel the Spirit saying its okay… And not unless my family approves. Doesn’t mean I won’t get lonely. I will. BUT, I have a close relationship with the One who created me and knows my thoughts and feelings and can take that away. Being a single mom is so much different then when I was single. I dated people that were NOT good for me. Now, I am not only thinking about me and my wants and needs.  It’s just all so weird. LOL!!! I actually attempted online dating.. FOR A DAY. LITERALLY A DAY.  I had messages from weird, random men… One of them was an ex con. LOL! NO THANKS.  I immediately deleted my account the next day. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  ANYWAYS….. Back to a serious note… If ANY single moms are out there reading this… There IS hope for us! 🙂  I don’t know about you ladies, but I for one would rather be alone forever, than be with the wrong guy… Wouldn’t you?

This is 100% me.  I laugh at everything I say. I think I’m hilarious! 🙂 HAHA!

Those are all funny….. But this last one is TRUE sometimes.. LOL! When I am having a pity party day, this is really sad to me. LOL! LOL!

But really…. It’s ALL good!!  I know if I am supposed to get married again, I will ONLY IN GOD’S TIME. 🙂

Happy Mother’s Day!!!!

HEY HEY Everyone!!! 🙂  How’s it going??  Pretty good here!! I am just watching the rest of STEPMOM… I started it a few days ago and didn’t get to finish it!

SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE MOM’S OUT THERE!! Especially My Mama and my awesome big sister, Kayla! Two of the most Amazing Mama’s I know! 🙂 🙂  I don’t know what Jude’s deal is, but I did NOT get one thing from him today! LOL!! 🙂  Just kidding… I’m hoping to splurge and get a massage soon….  That will be from Jude. HAHA! 😉

Man did we have a GREAT weekend!!!!!! Work was crazy all week, Friday it rained almost all day and I got to have lunch with a friend at one of my favorite places, Sugarbakers… They have THE BEST Chicken Salad…. Like, EVER! If you live here, go there, and try it! Yummmmmy! Saturday my sister watched Jude for me and I went to have my Scentsy Table at Cooper North Elementary for the Mother/Daughter Spring Fling.  It was pretty good! I made some money, which is important. LOL!! 🙂

Mother’s Day is so weird….. Shouldn’t Mom’s be celebrated every single day????  The stuff Mom’s do for their families really goes un recognized. I am not just talking about the cooking, cleaning, etc.  I am also talking about the emotional side of parenting. MAN! It’s HARD!!! Sure, taking care of kids is hard work.. Making Sure Jude has clean clothes, food to eat, is learning what he needs to learn etc. That is ALL very hard work. BUT, the emotional side of it is just unreal.  Constantly wondering if you’re doing the right things with them, if you’re teaching them all the right things, making sure they’re safe from harm and illness, etc etc etc etc. LITERALLY feeling their pain when they’re hurt, or the emotions when they cry MAN!  Before I was a Mom, I NEVER would have known that side of it. I used to baby sit… I’ve babysat since I was 12. I even kep kids for long weekends, etc.  One family I kept their kids during the week while the parents went out of town… I had to get the boys up and fed and off to school, pick them up in the evening, take them home, feed them, get them to practices, get homework done, etc… So I knew that part of parenting was a JOB. But, the emotional part is something kept secret just for parents. LOL!!!!  One of my favorite quotes of all time is…. “Being a mother is like having your heart walking around outside your body.” It’s really quite true!!!!  It’s hard and sometimes it hurts. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the whole world!!!!!! It’s hard, but also fulfilling. Knowing that this child CAME FROM ME (you can tell because he’s the spitting image of me!) LOL! Anyways…… Enough about that.

 

I went and ran a few errands afterwards, then went to get Jude.  We stayed at Kayla’s for awhile hanging out and then came home… A little bit later, Kayla and her family came to our house. LOL!!!!!! It’s tradition for our family to do hamburgers EVERY SINGLE SATURDAY NIGHT! 🙂 Last night, Kayla made them for us! So sweet! 😉  After we ate, we went outside and watched Mom pull weeds. LOL!!!! 🙂  Today we had church, then came home and ate as a family… PawPaw & Quinton came over.. Everyone stayed ALL DAY! 🙂  It was great! We hung out outside, talking and listening to different songs.. Then for dinner, Mom made homemade pizza’s! YUMMMMMMMY! They were SO good!!!!!

A few of us have been doing the MyFitnessPal together.. Eating healthier and what not….. Today…… We all kinda blew that. Okay, not kinda.. But TOTALLY blew it. LOL! LOL!! Tomorrow it’s back to the grind.  If you know me, you know I ABSOLUTELY HATE eating healthy. LOL! I ADORE Fast food.. French fries, burritos, cokes, etc. AAAAUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHH! Oh well.. We weighed today and ALL of has lost weight! BOOM! 🙂  Now, I just need to start working out. BLAH! LOL! 😉

I have some very exciting stuff going on in my life… Answers to prayer! Jude and I have something we pray about EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!  And the first part has been answered! 🙂 🙂 So, we continue to pray EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and will wait for the second part to be answered. God is SO good to us!!!!!  I love teaching Jude about prayer, and showing Jude when God DOES answer the prayers in a very real way. It’s so exciting!!!!!! I am so glad that I’ve been raised in a family who worships God, who taught me about prayer. Thankful also for my church for that. It’s so important! I can only hope that Jude will remember these moments and grow up to do the same with his children some day. 🙂 There is a fairly new song that I LOVE that talks about Trusting Jesus.. There have been A LOT of times where my FEAR felt like it was crippling me! I’d begin to have an anxiety attack and just FREAK OUT! But then I’d remember to breathe and pray and it would be gone… I do this a lot.. Even still. Satan knows your weaknesses.. He’ll do anything to get you weak and question yourself and God.  As long as you REMEMBER that God is Holy and He is ALL we need… And remember to PRAY.. You’ll be okay! 🙂

They all are kind of about calling out to God when you’re in trouble, or scared, or things get to be too much.  In the past 8 years, I’ve dealt with my fair share of crap.  First, an abusive marriage that ended in infidelity, then an awful, sinful relationship that also ended in infidelity…. To raising a child alone… And Here I am. Still standing. Trusting Jesus more than ever before.. I don’t believe I would have survived everything without Christ. Through it all, I have come out a better person.. A strong person. A Christian. A Mother. And It’s all thanks to Jesus Christ!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!!!!!!

Hey guys!! What’s going on!?!?! I am just watching TV! It has been a CRAZY, BUSY week!! Good crazy though!  Work is OUT OF CONTROL busy!  I am going like freaking crazy there!  EEEEEK! The Weather this week has been CRAZY!!!!! It was 90 on Monday and 80 something on Tuesday.. Then Wednesday I get up and it’s 20 degrees and SNOWING! Seriously? It was SO cold ALL day yesterday! Today it warmed up some… It was in the high 60’s I believe… This weekend it’s supposed to be HOT which is a GREAT thing because we’re having a garage sale! YAY!!! I also bought Jude a REALLY cool toy, it came in and then it was too cold to use!! I know he’ll LOVE it!!!! It’s called Mud Pie Maker.. LOL! He LOVES to be outside and get wet and dirty.. This toy will be  hit, I hope!!!

HOW CUTE IS THAT!??! My sister found it and emailed me the link. I bought it right then. LOL!!!!!
